Intriguing Trailer For The New Murder Mystery Series ONE DOLLAR

I enjoy a good murder mystery thriller and CBS All Access has released the first trailer for a new series called One Dollar that looks really interesting. The series was created by Craig Zobel (The LeftoversCompliance) and this is the synopsis:

One Dollar is a mystery set in a small rust belt town in post-recession America, where a one-dollar bill changing hands connects a group of characters involved in a shocking multiple murder. The path of the dollar bill and point of view in each episode paint a picture of a modern American town with deep class and cultural divides that spill out into the open as the town’s secrets get revealed.

The cast of One Dollar includes John Carroll Lynch, Nathaniel Martello-White, Chris Denham, Philip Ettinger, Kirrilee Berger, Gracie Lawrence, Joshua Bitton, Nikẹ Uche Kadri, Hamilton Clancy, Greg Germann, Sturgill Simpson, Aleksa Palladino, Jeff Perry and Leslie Odom, Jr.

The series will premiere on August 30th.

Shia LaBeouf is Looking as Crazy as Ever in This First Photo From THE TAX COLLECTOR

Fury and Suicide Squad director David Ayer is working with Shia LaBeouf again in his latest film project The Tax Collector and he's released our first look at the actor in his role. As you can see, LaBeouf is looking as crazy as ever in this first image from the crime thriller.

There are no details on the story to share yet, but it will be set in Los Angeles and LaBeouf will be joined by Bobby Soto (For the People), Lana Parrilla (Once Upon a Time), George Lopez (Lopez) and Brendan Schaub (The Fighter & the Kid).

Ayer most recently worked on Netflix fantasy crime-thriller Bright and is also set to write and direct the sequel, based on an original script. I personally like a lot of Ayer's film work and LaBeouf may be a little nuts, but he's a talented actor, so The Tax Collector is a film that I'm very much looking forward to seeing.

Neil Gaiman Wants to Write a DOCTOR WHO Episode For Jodie Whittaker

neil-gaiman-wants-to-write-a-doctor-who-episode-for-jodie-whittaker-social.jpg

It's been a few years since Neil Gaiman has played with the Doctor Who universe, but with Jodie Whittaker on board to play the Thirteenth Doctor, he is ready to jump back in and write a story for her! While talking to Digital Spy, he said:

"If you examine my DNA and you go in deep enough, with a good enough microscope, you're gonna see a TARDIS, with a little light blinking on the top! So the idea of writing for Jodie, or for her successor, whoever she / he / they happen to be, is... yeah, it's Doctor Who! You can't say no."

Gaiman has written two Doctor Who episodes so far. Both of them were during Matt Smith's run as the Eleventh Doctor while Steven Moffat was the showrunner. Those episodes were "The Doctor’s Wife" in 2011 and "Nightmare in Silver" in 2013. He also wrote the short story "Nothing O'Clock" for the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who.

Gaiman went on to say that he did pitch a story of Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor to Moffat, but he wasn't able to do it due to his busy schedule. He explains that he was frustrated that he didn't get to do it.

"I was so frustrated over the last four years because I didn't get to write for Peter Capaldi. I even had a planned episode and did not get to do it, because I've been making Good Omens and that's been my life."

Hopefully Gaiman gets the opportunity to write an episode for Jodie Whitaker while she is The Doctor. Moffat isn't a part of this upcoming season of the series. He stepped down and was replaced by Chris Chibnall, the creator of Broadchurch and former writer on the Doctor Who spinoff series Torchwood.

I'm sure that he'd have no problem with bringing Gaiman on to write an episode! Doctor Who Season 11 premieres this fall.

Trailer For the Russian WWII Tank Warfare Action Movie T-34

If you're into World War II war movies, I've got a trailer here for you to check out for a Russian Tank action film called T-34. The film is based on a true story and set in 1944 and the story follows a courageous group of Russian soldiers who "managed to escape from German captivity in a half-destroyed legendary T-34 tank." The synopsis goes on to say that "those were the times of unforgettable bravery, fierce fighting, unbreakable love, and legendary miracles."

The movie looks pretty good and it was produced by billionaire film financier Len Blavatnik, who was also an executive producer on Hacksaw Ridge, Silence and I, Tonya. The film was made on a $10 million budget and was directed by Alexey Sidorov (22 Minutes).

There's no word on when the film will be released outside of Russia. But it'll be released in Russia on December 27, 2018.

New Red-Band Trailer For THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS Features More Inappropriate Puppet Craziness

If you're looking to see some more wildly inappropriate puppet behavior, you've come to the right place. A new red-band trailer has been released for director Brian Henson's The Happytime Murders and the more I see of the film, the more crazy and ridiculous it looks. It's definitely going to be unlike any other muppet-type movie that we've ever seen and you're not going to want to take your kids to see it! The movie is dark, vulgar, and I'm curious to see how well it does at the box office.

I've seen a lot of mixed reactions to the trailers for this film so far. Some people think it looks hilarious, while others don't like the whole vulgar muppet angle. I'm really personally curious to see how it turns out. It could be a lot of fun, but it could also be incredibly stupid. We'll just have to wait and see.

The human characters in the story are played by Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, Joel McHale, and Elizabeth Banks, who you'll see as a stripper in the trailer. Here's the synopsis:

No Sesame. All Street. The Happytime Murders  is a filthy comedy set in the underbelly of Los Angeles where puppets and humans coexist. Two clashing detectives with a shared secret, one human (Melissa McCarthy) and one puppet, are forced to work together again to solve the brutal murders of the former cast of a beloved classic puppet television show.

The Happytime Murders hits theaters on August 17, 2018. Are you excited about this movie?

James Wan Shot Some Additional Scenes For THE NUN

James Wan is a super busy guy these days with all the projects he's attached to, but apparently not so busy he can't find a little time to help out The Conjuring universe in its latest endeavor. The Nun director Corin Hardy told EW Wan was more than willing to help out and shoot some additional scenes for the film, which means some of the footage for the upcoming film was actually shot by Wan:

Very excitingly, James Wan was my second unit director in a little bit of additional photography. It is funny, but we did some additional photography, and you're always pushing for double what you really can afford, time- or budget-wise. I said, 'I want to do all of this, but if we're going to do it, we really need to run two units.' James is a full-on, hands-on guy and he was like, 'Anything I can do of service!' It was like, 'I really want to take you up on that.' So, there were nights when he was shooting a section in the forest and I was shooting interiors.

That's super impressive considering Wan was working on Aquaman and is currently developing the Swamp Thing series! I guess these guys wouldn't be great directors if they weren't masters of time management right? The Nun opens in theaters September 7th.

These Four Fan Posters For AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER Have Mastered The Elements

Artist Shane Sandulak has created four wicked cool posters that pay tribute to the classic series Avatar: The Last Airbender. Each poster masters one of the four elements of Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. The posters also feature several characters from both the original Avatar series and the followup series, The Legend of Korra. The artist had this to say about these posters:

Some fan art for one of my favourite shows/series of all time, Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Wanted to do a poster for each element with the characters commonly associated with each nation, rather than just benders (CABBAGE VENDOR!)

Check out the poster art below and tell us what you think! I wish I could own prints of these!
